"Fogo Sagrado" is Portugese and means "fire of life." What is meant by this term is our inner fire as a pure and sincere energy that is aligned with what truly matters and makes sense to us. Our inner fire knows what we long for and carries us toward it. It also gives us the courage to go in this direction.
Fogo Sagrado is a schamanic practice with roots in the indigenous tribes of Brasil.
Fogo Sagrado uses the intuitive perception as a tool to bring unconscious parts into our awareness and to support us in integrating these shadow parts to promote personal balance and well-being.
With roots in the indigenous cultures of Brazil, Fogo Sagrado combines ancient shamanic and Eastern knowledge, modern quantum physics, and transpersonal consciousness.
I was trained in Fogo Sagrado by Mônica Oliveira, the developer of Fogo Sagrado,
and her institute Nucleo Fogo Sagrado as Fogo Sagrado Coach and Teacher.

Fogo Sagrado is offered in various modalities:

Each session looks at imbalances in the energetic field of a person and expresses
them through gestures, images, words and then bringing them into a balanced state.
Those imbalances can be childhood conflicts, deeply-rooted patterns and energetic blockages, as well as karmic entanglements.
The underlying, conflicting energies are transformed into more balanced ones,
and a mantra is the key to this new energy.

What makes Fogo Sagrado unique?
Fogo Sagrado can be very fast. Furthermore, Fogo Sagrado works outside reason, the human mind, which means that a session often reveals connections, even of a karmic nature, that cannot be imagined beforehand. Possible solutions emerge from within the challenge at hand and the energies that drive that challenge are transformed.
Is Fogo Sagrado the same as therapy?
No. Although Fogo Sagrado can be therapeutically effective (in the sense of liberating, empowering, life-affirming), it is not therapy. The attitude of a Fogo Sagrado practitioner is that they know little to nothing about the person in front of them, and that the person knows themself best. Fogo Sagrado activates their self-healing powers. A session only shows what wants to show itself at that time. Fogo Sagrado complements therapies and does not replace them.
What do I need to know about Fogo Sagrado?
Fogo Sagrado works on its own timeline and cannot be manipulated, which means that Fogo Sagrado is not wish fulfillment per se. What is Fogo Sagrado's understanding of spirituality?
Fogo Sagrado does not understand spirituality as something detached, noble or separate from being human. Rather, it is about a grounded, embodied spirituality. Fogo Sagrado has a holistic approach. Fogo Sagrado does not devalue being human in the sense of "I am soul," which is much more noble than being human. Fogo Sagrado is about experiencing human life as a soul. Eckart Böhmer says, "It's not about ascending to heaven. Rather, it is about bringing heaven to earth in order to lift up the earth" as embodied, divine consciousness.
What are the limits of Fogo Sagrado?
Fogo Sagrado is not wish-fulfillment per se. It cannot be used, for example, to make someone fall in love with someone or to achieve a certain goal. Rather, Fogo Sagrado is about becoming aware of the causes and connections underlying and informing a challenge to gain more clarity in life and achieve an energetic balance. It may well be that both persons fall in love after a session, or not. Perhaps one has become open to new, unforeseeable ways of loving or the situation was about something completely different than one thought it would be.
Fogo Sagrado has shamanic roots. Does that mean that shamanic rituals are practiced at Fogo Sagrado?
No. Fogo Sagrado has its roots in the indigenous cultures of Brazil, but is free of rituals. It is a clearly structured work. It uncovers the potential inherent in a challenge, for example, to open the hand that has become a fist to the qualities of a caressing, creative, forgiving hand.
Is Fogo Sagrado a "getting rid of problems"?
It is less about getting rid of problems and more about becoming aware of causes and connections and mastering them. When one "gets rid of problems," one tends to close oneself off from one’s own growth because one rejects a situation that is difficult and wants to "get rid of it". One holds on to a sense of victimhood and lack, and feels like a victim of circumstances.
