Dr. Markus Bohlmann, PhD, is certified in Mindfulness and trained in offering Fogo Sagrado.
Markus is a certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher (MSC), and he is certified in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). He has had the privilege of having been mentored by world-renowned teachers and field leaders such as Dr. Zindel Segal, co-founder of the Mindfulness Cognitive Therapy Program, Dr. Patricia Rockman, leader in the field of mindfulness and founder of the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto, Susan Woods, leader in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Dr. Christopher Germer and Dr. Kristin Neff, co-founders of the Mindful Self-Compassion Program, Dr. Steve Hickman, Director of the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, Michelle Becker and Dawn MacDonald, world-renowned self-compassion teacher and leader, and Fogo Sagrado Teachers who stand in direct lineage to Monica Oliveira and Aloysio Nascimento.
Dr. Markus Bohlmann is the Translations Coordinator and International Teacher Relations Manager for the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion (CMSC) in San Diego, their lead of their LGBTQIAP2S+ Affinity Group and membe of their DEIB Committee (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging). Markus is also a faculty member at Mindfulness Everyday and the Center for Mindfulness Studies in the city of Toronto, where he has served as a meditation leader for the LGBTQIAP2S+ community at the 519, an LGBTQ+ Downtown Community Centre.
